Rocky Mountain High Massage with O2
$105/60 min • $125/80 min • $140/90 min • $175/120 min
While visitors from lower elevation struggle with adjusting to the high altitude of the Rockies, many can find relief through massage therapy. Beginning with a steam inhalation of Young Living “Brain Power” essential oils that are proven to reoxygenate the blood, hot towel compressions are applied during a full body massage, followed by a reflexology session of the feet that focuses on relieving the physical symptoms of altitude sickness that include nausea, breathing difficulties, headaches, and more. Add 15 min of oxygen therapy for an additional $15 at our downtown WP location (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED).
Frequently Asked Questions
What is an oxygen bar?
An oxygen bar is a place that offers non-medical oxygen mixed with various scents including aromatherapy. The air we normally breathe contains about 21% oxygen the rest is Nitrogen, Argon and other trace gasses. The oxygen in oxygen bars is between 90% and 95% oxygen allowing the customer to breathe 4 to 5 times the normal amount of oxygen.
How long should a session last?
A 30-minute oxygen session is ideal for optimum results. However, 15 minute sessions will give you the beginning beneficial effects.
Where do you get the oxygen?
The oxygen in oxygen bars comes from completely self-contained machines called oxygen concentrators (non-medical). These non-medical concentrators use a technology called Pressure Swing Adsorption, a NASA created technology that filters out Nitrogen, Argon and other trace gasses from the ambient air. This technology then puts the separated oxygen molecule to 90-95% purity to the recipient and the Nitrogen and other gasses get released back into the atmosphere.
Is breathing oxygen in an oxygen bar harmful?
The American Lung Association declared that breathing oxygen from an oxygen bar has no harmful effects and is not dangerous to a persons health.
How does it make you feel?
Breathing higher concentrations of oxygen has several benefits; the most commonly reported benefits are increased energy, an uplifted refreshed feeling, clearing of the mind, relief of toxic headaches such as the hangover, relief of stress and promotion of higher concentration levels. Oxygen is also a proven detoxifier and has anti-aging properties.
